Diversity means different things. This Forvm is about the cognitive kind — the sort that shows up in the same business language as divergence, deviation, dissent.
Call it something else however — innovation, originality, initiative — and suddenly it’s what every organization says it wants.
‘Standardize and conform’ or ‘Innovate and originate’. Businesses want both, from the same people, often in the same meeting. How is that reconciled — in organizations, in teams, in our own heads?
